The R&RM ElderlyCare team was blessed to once again bring light into the lives of the elderly in our community. With hearts full of love and compassion, we delivered carefully prepared gift hampers to those who need it most—our dear senior citizens.
As our team entered their homes, we were met with warm smiles and grateful hearts. It was more than just a day of giving—it was a day of sharing the love of God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Together, we shared stories, prayed together, and most importantly, brought joy into their lives.
The elderly faces shone brightly with joy as they received the hampers. Their eyes spoke of gratitude, and their voices echoed blessings and praises for the Name of God. "Praise the Lord for His goodness," they said, and we too couldn't help but join in that praise. It was a moment of pure, unspoken beauty, as we saw how little it takes to make a significant difference in someone’s life. What a joy to be His hands and feet!

The hampers themselves were a simple but heartfelt offering—each containing 2 kilograms of rice, 1 kilogram of beans, 1 kilogram of sugar, 500 grams of porridge flour, 250 grams of cooking oil, 200 grams of multi-purpose washing soap, and 100 grams of tea leaves. These essentials, though humble in nature, bring comfort and security to those who lack even the most basic provisions. May the Lord be praised for His provision and love!

As we reach out to the less privileged elders, we are reminded of God's call to care for the vulnerable. In the Book of Isaiah, we are instructed: "Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow" (Isaiah 1:17). The elderly, particularly those who are neglected by their families or burdened by poverty, are often forgotten by society. Some are forced to beg from neighbors just to survive. Yet, through this small act of kindness, we are able to provide not only nourishment but also a reminder that they are seen, loved, and valued.

Each month, through this project, we provide nutritious food to elders in need. Our hope is that our efforts bring health, happiness, and a sense of dignity to those who have spent their lives serving others. As we give, we are reminded of the words of Jesus: "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me" (Matthew 25:40). It is in giving that we receive, and it is in loving that we fulfill God's command to care for His creation.
We praise God for this opportunity to serve, and we pray that He continues to guide and bless this ministry, bringing joy and hope to the hearts of the elderly we serve. May our little contribution make their world a little brighter, healthier, and happier, as we reflect His love in all that we do.
