At Ransom and Restore Ministries (RRM), we believe that financial hardship should not determine how far a young person can go. Every student deserves an opportunity to learn, grow and discover their potential.

THE HEART BEHIND THE MISSION
A Vision Born from Experience
The heart behind RRM's educational support is deeply personal.
The ministry's founder, Dr. Harrison Charo, grew up in Bamba, Kenya, an area affected by poverty. Having experienced the challenges associated with pursuing an education, he understands how financial hardship can stand in the way of a student's dreams.
His experience helped shape a conviction that continues to guide the ministry: even when we cannot help everyone, we can make a meaningful difference by helping someone. One opportunity can change the direction of a life, opening doors that might otherwise remain closed.
This conviction inspires RRM's commitment to supporting students from needy backgrounds and giving them the opportunity to pursue their potential.

Needy Students Supported
Between July 2024 and July 2026, RRM supported 17 needy students, helping create educational opportunities for young people facing financial challenges.
Daniel Karisa: Excellence and Continued Progress
Daniel Karisa graduated from the Wildlife Research and Training Institute as Best Overall Student, earning a Distinction and multiple awards. His achievement reflects academic excellence, determination and the importance of creating opportunities for students to succeed.
Daniel's journey continues beyond graduation. Through the scholarship support of Ransom and Restore Ministries, he is advancing his education at Pwani University, progressing towards completing his university studies.
His journey demonstrates the importance of continued support—not only in helping students reach one milestone, but also in enabling them to pursue further education and prepare for their future.
Evalyn Pendo: From Graduate to Instructor
We also celebrate Evalyn Pendo, who graduated on 27 March 2026 with a Distinction, finishing among the best in her class.
Less than a month after graduation, she was called to serve as an Instructor teaching Fisheries and Marine Technology.
Evalyn's achievement is an inspiring reminder that education can open doors to professional opportunities and enable graduates to share their knowledge and skills with others.
Every student deserves the chance to discover what they can achieve when given the opportunity.
